Samsung's new flagship SSD 990 Pro officially launched on the e-commerce platform and started pre-sale, 1TB version 1099 yuan, 2TB version 2299 yuan. The Samsung 990 Pro PCIe 4.0 SSD was released in August of this year. Samsung said that the 990 PRO series products use new V-NAND technology and a new self-developed controller, which can provide ultra-high speed in the PCIe 4.0 interface.
The data shows that the sequential read and write speeds of the Samsung 990 Pro SSD are 7450 MB/s and 6900MB/s, respectively, and the random read and write speeds are 1400K and 1550K IOPS, respectively. Compared to the 980 PRO, the random read and write performance of the 990 PRO is improved by 55%.
Samsung's newly designed controller greatly improves the energy efficiency of SSDs by up to 50% compared to the 980 PRO, adding a nickel coating on the controller and using tabbed heat sinks on the hard drives to ensure reliable heat management.
