Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 Fuji X-mount lens appeared on e-commerce platform


In February this year, Sigma held a press conference to release the Fuji X-mount "Three Musketeers" lens. At the end of the conference, Sigma said that there will be an X-mount 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN lens in the future. The lens will be released in December at the end of the year.

Recently, this lens appeared in the New Zealand store photo warehouse, priced at 949 New Zealand dollars, which is currently about 4021 yuan. The 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN is an APS-C frame lens launched by Sigma last year. It has a constant large aperture of F2.8 and a small size. Currently, there are E-mount and L-mount. is 3299 yuan.

The lens has an equivalent focal length of 27-75mm and is versatile, and suitable for shooting all kinds of photos and videos including landscapes, portraits, street sweeping, architecture, and events. The closest focusing distance of the lens is only 12.1cm, providing a magnification ratio of 1:2.8, which is suitable for macro photography. The Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN lens has high specifications, with 13 lens elements in 10 groups, equipped with 3 high-precision glass ground-cast aspherical lenses and 1 SLD lens, reducing the total number of lenses used as much as possible. 

The product supports body aberration correction, which further eliminates optical defects such as distortion and glare. The official said that the lens is manufactured in the "Aizu" factory in Japan, and it is the smallest and lightest product of its kind. This lens has a built-in stepping motor for quiet and fast focusing and uses an internal focus design. The product supports various high-speed focusing modes of the body and supports autofocus, manual focus, and full-time manual focus (DMF). The lens mount has a dust-proof and splash-proof structure is equipped with 7 circular aperture blades and is compatible with SIGMA USB DOCK UD-11 for firmware upgrades.
