The launching ceremony of the clean room of the silicon carbide chip manufacturing project of Guangdong Xinyue Neng Semiconductor Co., Ltd. was recently successfully held in the clean room of the main production plant. This involves 6-inch and 8-inch compatible SiC chip project builds.
The clean room was officially launched, marking the end of the civil construction of the Xinyue Energy project. Next, the orderly move-in and commissioning of process equipment will be ushered in, making preparations for the trial production of the project in early 2023.
Guangdong Xinyueneng Semiconductor Co. Ltd. is located in Nansha Free Trade Zone, Guangzhou. It is a silicon carbide chip manufacturing and R&D enterprise for automotive and industrial control fields. Its products mainly include silicon carbide SBD / JBS, MOSFET, Power devices such as IGBTs are mainly used in new energy vehicles, industrial power supplies, smart grids, and photovoltaic power generation. With a total investment of 7.5 billion yuan and an area of 150 acres, the company has built a production line with an annual output of 240,000 6-inch and 240,000 8-inch silicon carbide wafers, which is expected to be officially put into operation by the end of May 2023. It is currently the largest enterprise in China that focuses on the manufacture of automotive-grade silicon carbide chips and is listed as a key construction project by Guangdong Province, Guangzhou City, and Nansha District.
