The world's largest single-phase energy storage power station, supplied by BYD, is now operational in the United States

According to the official news of BYD Energy Storage, recently, the world's largest single-phase energy storage power station supplied by BYD Energy Storage was successfully put into commercial operation on the sunny West Coast of the United States. The independent energy storage power station is provided by BYD Energy Storage, a 1500V grid-level energy storage product BYD Cube T28, with an energy storage capacity of nearly 1.7GWh.

According to BYD Energy Storage, the United States is one of the largest and fastest-growing energy storage markets in the world and has led the world in using policies to guide the development of energy storage. As of October 2022, BYD energy storage has shipped about 3.6GWh in the US market. With years of experience in project operation around the world, BYD has proven to customers the safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of its products.

Independent energy storage power stations directly sign grid-connected scheduling agreements with power dispatching agencies as independent entities, without location restrictions, and have the advantages of achieving peak regulation, frequency regulation, backup, and tracking planned power generation. From the perspective of the industrial chain, independent energy storage requires higher components and system integration than new energy distribution and storage.

According to BYD Energy Storage, the BYD Cube T28 supplied this time is the first liquid-cooled energy storage product in China that has passed the UL9540A system level identification and has excellent performance. It adopts vehicle-grade cooling system components, with high safety, reliability, and longevity long, compatible with global energy storage standards.

The independent energy storage plant will store and dispatch electricity for more than 47,000 households each year when it is put into operation. Compared with natural gas power generation, it can reduce 275,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions and 47 tons of carbon oxide emissions per year, which is equivalent to reducing the greenhouse gas emissions of 53,000 cars.
