Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun announced in the middle of this month that Xiaomi's new flagship will be the first to be equipped with the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform, but did not announce the specific product model. Today, with the Mi 13 series & MIUI 14 new product launch conference finalized, Xiaomi officially announced that the Mi 13 series is equipped with the second-generation Snapdragon 8.
Xiaomi said that the multi-core performance of the new second-generation Snapdragon 8 CPU has increased by 37%, and the GPU performance has increased by 42%, which is the best performance in Snapdragon history.
As the latest flagship processor of Qualcomm Snapdragon, the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform adopts 4nm process technology and is a new 1+2+2+3 architecture, including a 3.2GHz Kryo super core based on Cortex-X3, four 2.8GHz performance cores (2×Cortex A715+ 2×Cortex A710) and three 2.0GHz Cortex-A510 energy efficiency cores.
The Xiaomi 13 series & MIUI 14 new product launch conference will be held at 7:00 pm on December 1st. At that time, the dual-size flagship phones of Mi 13 and Mi 13 Pro will be officially unveiled.
Judging from the official poster, the standard version of Mi 13 has a straight screen, a custom high-end OLED straight screen, and a visual quadrilateral; the Pro version has a hyperbolic screen. Among them, Mi 13 has a width of 1.61mm on three sides and a width of 1.81mm at the widest point, with a screen-to-body ratio of 93.3%, using a centered perforated screen.
According to Lei Jun, the front of Mi 13 is slightly 2.5D, and the back is a four-curved surface, with a width of 71.5mm, "surprisingly comfortable to hold". In addition, all Mi 13 series are equipped with IP68 as standard, which is also the highest level of dustproof and waterproof standards.
