BYD Auto Ships 1,200 Super-Hybrid Models to Colombia, Setting Record High in Single Export Volume

BYD Auto, a Chinese company that specializes in producing new energy vehicles, recently shipped 1,200 BYD super-hybrid models to Colombia. This shipment, which consisted of 200 Qin PLUS DM-i and 1,000 Song PLUS DM-i models, set a record high for a single export of BYD DM-i super-hybrid models. The arrival of these vehicles also marked the BYD DM-i as the best-selling Chinese brand hybrid car in Latin America.

The BYD Qin PLUS DM-i and Song PLUS DM-i models were officially released in the Colombian market in March of this year. These models are equipped with BYD's DM-i super-hybrid technology, which allows for excellent fuel economy and strong comprehensive battery life. They also feature a light luxury aesthetic in their exterior and interior design.

Since 2020, BYD has been working with local dealer Motorysa to sell its full range of new energy passenger vehicles in Colombia. This includes the medium and large luxury flagship sedan Han EV, the luxury pure electric SUV Tang EV, and the high-end plug-in hybrid models Qin PLUS DM-i and Song PLUS DM-i. To date, BYD has delivered nearly 3,000 new energy vehicles to Colombia, making it one of the major new energy passenger vehicle brands in the local market.

BYD's new energy products can now be found in many Latin American countries, including Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Dominica, Costa Rica, and Uruguay.
