Nothing Phone (1) Becomes First Non-Pixel Phone to Support Google Personal Safety

Nothing Phone (1) was the first to support the Google Personal Safety app in the Android 13 beta update. This also makes this phone the first non-Pixel phone in the Android industry to support Google's Personal Safety. Personal Safety is an emergency rescue application launched by Google in 2021, which has functions such as car accident detection, location search in emergency situations, and crisis alerts. The Personal Safety feature has been exclusive to Pixel phones since its launch, but in the latest Nothing OS 1.5 Beta update, the Nothing Phone (1) also gets the feature.

In this update, Nothing Phone (1) has obtained most of the core functions of Personal Safety, but currently does not support the car accident detection function. It is unclear whether this feature will be introduced after the general release.
