SIGMA will hold a press conference on February 7th


Japanese lens manufacturer, Sigma, has announced the launch of its latest product, the 50mm F1.4 DG DN | Art lens. The lens, which was previously revealed, is expected to be unveiled at a press conference to be held on February 7th.

The 50mm F1.4 DG DN | Art is a full-frame mirrorless lens designed for use with Sony E-mount and L-mount cameras. With a weight of 670g, this lens is built with 14 elements in 11 groups and has a closest focusing distance of 45cm. Its maximum magnification ratio is 1:6.8 and has a filter size of 72mm.

The new 50mm F1.4 DG DN | Art lens has been designed to deliver outstanding image quality and performance. It features a fast maximum aperture of f1.4, making it ideal for low-light photography and allows for beautiful, shallow depth-of-field shots. News of Sigma's new 50mm F1.4 DG DN | Art lens comes just days after rumors started to circulate about Sony's own 50mm F1.4 GM lens, which is expected to hit the market in February. The Sony lens is reported to be similar in size to the FE 35mm F1.4 GM lens, making it an attractive option for Sony users.
