AMD announces the Ryzen 7045HX series gaming processors ahead of 12th generation Core


AMD has announced the Cinebench running score information of its Ryzen 7045HX series gaming processors, beating Intel's i9-12900HX, i7-12700H, and i5-12500H processor for comparison. The three models of the Ryzen 7045HX series have been shown to be ahead of competing products in terms of single-core and multi-core running scores.

Specifications of Ryzen 7045HX series high-end gaming notebook processors

The Ryzen 7045HX series high-end gaming notebook processors, released at this year's CES, have the same specifications as the Ryzen 7000 desktop series, including up to 16 cores and 32 threads, up to 80MB L2+L3 cache, and a frequency of up to 5.4GHz.

The Ryzen 7045HX series gaming processor models and parameters include:

  • R9 7945HX: 16 cores and 32 threads, up to 5.4GHz, 80MB cache
  • R9 7845HX: 12 cores and 24 threads, up to 5.2GHz, 76MB cache
  • R7 7745HX: 8 cores and 16 threads, up to 5.1GHz, 40MB cache

Partnering with popular notebook brands

AMD announced that notebook brands Alienware, ROG Strix, and Lenovo Savior will be equipped with the R9 7945HX flagship processor. The Alienware model will also be equipped with AMD's RX 7000M notebook graphics. The series of notebooks will start shipping in February this year.
