Philips Unveils New Ultra-Wideband Fish Screen Displays

Technology giant Philips has launched two new ultra-wideband fish screen displays, the 45B1U6900C and 45B1U6900CH, with a 1500R screen curvature and a resolution of 1440p. The 44.5-inch VA panel offers an aspect ratio of 32:9 and 107% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, with a peak brightness of 450 nits and an 8-bit color depth. The two models are similar in terms of specs, but the 45B1U6900CH comes with a built-in webcam and noise-canceling microphone for video conferencing, while the 45B1U6900C provides a USB Type-B upstream port.

Specifications and Features

Both monitors use a 44.5-inch VA panel with a screen resolution of 5120*1440 and an aspect ratio of 32:9. They offer a 1500R screen curvature, a 75Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 450 nits. The monitors have a response time of 4ms GtG and come with an adjustable stand and a telescoping hook for hanging headphones. The ports include 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, 1 DisplayPort 1.4 port, a USB Type-C port, and four USB 3.2 Type-A ports. Both models also feature Gigabit LAN ports and KVM switches.

The 45B1U6900C provides a USB Type-B upstream port, while the 45B1U6900CH has a built-in webcam and noise-canceling microphone for video conferencing. The USB Type-B upstream port allows users to connect their computer to the monitor, while the built-in webcam and microphone are useful for remote workers and video conference calls.
