Realme Plans to Release Next-Generation Flagship Model

Realme, a popular smartphone brand, is planning to change its realme GT3 series to the next-generation flagship model. According to the company's vice president, global marketing president, and China president, Xu Qi, the new phone is expected to be released by the end of this year.

Previous Releases of Realme GT Series

Realme released its new generation of realme GT2/Pro series on January 4, 2021. This was followed by the launch of the realme GT2 Master Discovery Edition on July 12 of the same year. With the realme GT3 series set to launch in the near future, it is expected to be a top-of-the-line device.

Snapdragon 8 Gen3 to be Used in the New Phone

There are reports that the new phone may adopt the next-generation Snapdragon flagship platform, specifically the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 chip. While details about the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 chip are currently unknown, the chip is expected to have a CPU performance that is 25% higher than that of the Snapdragon 8 series SoC.

Qualcomm's Plan for Snapdragon 8 Gen2 and 8 Gen3

There is also news that Qualcomm does not plan to launch an official overclocked 8+ Gen 2 because the 8 Gen 2 performs well. This means that the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 flagship will appear earlier than expected. It is believed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 for Galaxy chip will use a 1+5+2 core configuration, which is one more energy-efficient core than the current 1+4+3 configuration of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy.

Improved Energy Efficiency and Performance

Thanks to TSMC's N4P process node, the energy efficiency of the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 for Galaxy chip may be 20% higher than that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This means that the new phone from Realme will have improved energy efficiency and performance, making it a top contender in the smartphone market.
