Xiaomi CEO Announces No Half-Generation Upgrade for Mi 13

Lei Jun, the founder and CEO of Xiaomi, has announced through social media that the company currently has no plans to release a half-generation upgraded version of the Mi 13. This means that consumers do not need to wait for the Mi 13S to be released.

Mi 13 Series Released in December 2021

The Mi 13 series was released in December 2021 and included the Mi 13 and Mi 13 Pro models. The Mi 13 features a 6.36-inch four-equal-edge flexible straight screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a 4500mAh battery, and supports 67W wired fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 10W reverse charging.

The Mi 13 Pro, on the other hand, has a larger 6.73-inch AMOLED hyperboloid screen, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, a built-in 4820mAh battery, and supports 120W fast charging.

Mi 13 Series Set to Launch Globally in 2023

Xiaomi has announced that the Mi 13 series of mobile phones will be launched globally during MWC 2023 on February 26. The series is expected to include the Mi 13, Mi 13 Pro, and Mi 13 Lite 5G.

No Need to Wait for Mi 13S

The announcement by Lei Jun that Xiaomi has no plans to release a half-generation upgraded version of the Mi 13 means that consumers do not need to wait for the Mi 13S to be released. This is good news for those who may have been waiting for the newer version, as they can now purchase the Mi 13 without worrying about it becoming outdated too soon.

Xiaomi's Mi 13 Series continues to be a popular choice for those in the market for a new mobile phone. With its impressive specifications and features, it is no surprise that Xiaomi has chosen not to release a half-generation upgrade for the Mi 13 at this time.
