Realme GT 3 Mobile Phone Passed India BIS Certification

Realme, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has recently launched its flagship model, the Realme GT3, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023. The company claims that the device is the world's first smartphone equipped with a 240W charging function. The Realme GT3 has now passed the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification, indicating that it will soon be launched in India.

Realme GT3 specifications

The Realme GT3 mobile phone is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, which is known for its powerful performance and high efficiency. The device uses three 100W charging chips to achieve a charging efficiency of 98.5%, which is supported by a dual gallium nitride (GaN) charger. The charger is the same size as last year's 150W charger, and a special 12A USB cable is used.

The Realme GT3 has a 4600mAh battery that can be fully charged in about 9 minutes and 30 seconds, while charging to 20% takes only 80 seconds and 50% in 4 minutes. Realme claims that the phone can retain 80% of its capacity after 1,600 charge cycles due to the implementation of a 60 multi-layer protection system. It is the first battery that supports over 200W charging and is certified by TUV Rheinland.

The device features a 144Hz refresh rate AMOLED display from Tianma with a 1.5K resolution, 1400nit local peak brightness, and 2160Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming. The phone is equipped with a Sony IMX890 OIS super outsole optical image stabilization flagship main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle and 2MP microscope cameras. The device also has an X-axis linear motor, Dolby Atmos dual speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, infrared remote control, and the Realme UI 4.0 system based on Android 13.

Realme GT3 pricing and availability

The Realme GT3 mobile phone's 8GB+128GB variant is priced at US$650 (approximately 4466 yuan). The device also comes in 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, and 16GB+512GB variants, with a special 16GB+1TB storage version. The phone will be available in two colors: Holy Land White and Zhou Ye Black.

Realme has not yet announced the exact release date of the Realme GT3 in India, but with the device passing the BIS certification, it is expected to launch soon. The company has also stated that the time to market in each region may vary, and worldwide sales will begin in May or June.
