Huawei Mate 40 Pro 5G Gets Hongmeng 3.0.0.300 System Update

Huawei has released a new system update for the Mate 40 Pro 5G, bringing a number of optimizations to the universal card, smart multi-window, and fast charging features.

The universal card feature has been updated to allow combo cards to automatically expand or contract as cards are added or removed. Stacked cards can also now be automatically rotated as the scene changes.

The smart multi-window feature has been updated to allow users to save the split-screen state to the desktop. This means that users can quickly and easily reopen a split-screen session by clicking on the split-screen combination icon. The smart multi-window experience has also been improved, with floating windows now automatically shrinking to a small window when users return to the desktop.

The calendar feature has been updated to add a curriculum subscription service. This service allows users to import their curriculum by taking photos or photo albums. Users can also now custom edit courses and course reminders, and class schedule service cards can be added to the desktop.

The charging feature has been updated to optimize super fast charging Turbo mode. This mode now charges the battery faster and more efficiently.

The pure mode has also been updated to improve security. A second confirmation pop-up window is now displayed when users jump to an application, which reduces the risk of misoperation.

A number of other optimizations have also been made to the system, including:

  • The document supports one-step preview, so users no longer need to select the opening method in the pop-up box.
  • Call audio can be switched between the speaker, earpiece, and different Bluetooth devices in one step through the multi-device broadcast control center.
  • Huawei's printing interface has been optimized and simplified.
  • System performance has been optimized, with slide operation, page switching, application startup, and animation now being able to be interrupted.
  • A quick download icon has been added for the Petal Light Tour app, so users can click to download and use it directly.
  • The June 2023 security patch has also been incorporated into the update to enhance system security.

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro 5G is a high-end smartphone that was released in 2020. It is powered by the Kirin 9000 chip and features a 6.76-inch OLED display, a triple-lens rear camera system, and a 4400mAh battery.

The new system update brings a number of useful and welcome improvements to the Mate 40 Pro 5G. The optimizations to the universal card, smart multi-window, and fast charging features are particularly noteworthy.

If you own a Huawei Mate 40 Pro 5G, we recommend that you install the latest system update as soon as possible.
