Asus ROG's official Twitter account announced tonight that the ROG Matrix RTX 4090 graphics card has broken the world record for GPU frequency. The card achieved a peak frequency of 3.94GHz (3945MHz), surpassing the previous record holder, the Colorful iGame Lab RTX 4090, which had a peak frequency of 3.93GHz.
The ROG Matrix RTX 4090 is equipped with a triple-fan cooling system and a custom PCB design. It also features a number of overclocking features, such as a built-in LN2 mode and a voltage regulator module (VRM) with 16 phases.
The record-breaking overclock was achieved by a user named "kpl_1989" on the Chinese overclocking forum Bilibili. The user used a custom water cooling loop and a high-end power supply to achieve the high frequency.
The ROG Matrix RTX 4090 is not a retail product, but it is available for purchase from Asus's website. The card is priced at 19,999 yuan (about $3,080).
