Honor has officially announced that the Honor Magic V2 foldable phone will be released on July 12th at 7:30 PM (China time). Pre-orders for the phone are now open.

Zhao Ming also said that the phone's hinge has been improved to make it more durable and smoother.

In addition to the thinner folding screen, the Honor Magic V2 also features a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage. The phone also has a 6.78-inch OLED display on the outside and a 7.9-inch OLED display on the inside.

The Honor Magic V2 is expected to start at around CNY9,999 (US$1,500). It will be available for purchase in China first, with other markets to follow.
