Honor is set to launch its new X50 phone on July 5 at 7:30 PM (China time). The phone has been dubbed the "decade's summit work" by Honor officials, and today the company unveiled the Classic Black Edition of the phone.
The Honor X50 Classic Black Edition features a sleek and minimalist design with a curved glass back and a metal frame. The phone is available in two colors: Classic Black and Magic Night Black. The front of the phone is dominated by a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the Honor X50 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and up to 12GB of RAM. The phone also features a triple-camera system on the back, consisting of a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and an 8MP telephoto sensor.
The Honor X50 is expected to start at around RMB3,999 (about $630) in China. It is unclear when the phone will be available in other markets.
In addition to the Classic Black Edition, Honor is also expected to launch a Pro version of the X50 phone on July 5. The Pro version is rumored to feature a more powerful processor, a larger display, and a better camera system.
The Honor X50 series is expected to be a major competitor to other high-end smartphones in the market, such as the iPhone 13 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The phones are expected to offer a good balance of performance, features, and price.
