AMD Threadripper 7000 and 7000 PRO Processors Released with Up to 96 Cores

AMD has released its latest Threadripper processors, the 7000 and 7000 PRO series. These processors are based on the Zen 4 architecture and offer up to 96 cores and 192 threads. The Threadripper 7000 PRO series is aimed at workstation systems, while the Threadripper 7000 series is aimed at high-performance desktop systems.

The Threadripper 7000 PRO series offers a variety of processor options, from the 12-core 7945WX to the 96-core 7995WX. These processors have a frequency of up to 5.3GHz and a TDP of 350W. They also have 128 PCIe 5.0 lanes, an L3 cache of 384MB, and support 8-channel DDR5-5200 memory.

The Threadripper 7000 series offers a variety of processor options, from the 24-core 7960X to the 64-core 7980X. These processors also have a frequency of up to 5.3GHz and a TDP of 350W. They have 48 PCIe 5.0 lanes, an L3 cache of 256MB, and support 4-channel DDR5-5200 memory.

AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX workstations from Dell, HP, Lenovo, and other companies are expected to be available by the end of 2023. AMD Threadripper 7000's high-end desktop platform family of processors will be available from system integrators in late 2023. Threadripper 7000 Series and select Threadripper PRO 7000 WX processors will be available from DIY retailers starting November 21st.
