Google Improves RAW Photo Function on Pixel 8/Pro Phones

Google is making improvements to the RAW photo function on its Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro phones, according to foreign media reports. The changes include a more intuitive way to identify RAW photos in the album and automatic synchronization of RAW photos to the cloud.

After using a Pixel 8/Pro phone to take RAW photos, the album will be marked with "RAW" in the upper right corner of the relevant photo thumbnail so that users can easily identify the type of photo. When users click to open these RAW images, in addition to freely adjusting the photo parameters, they can also export the photos to JPEG format with one click for easy sharing.

Additionally, RAW photos taken by users will be automatically uploaded to the "Google Photos" cloud. However, due to the large size of RAW photos, directly uploading RAW photos may affect the user's data usage. Google currently does not provide a "Only upload JPEG to the cloud" option, but it is possible that this will be added in the future.
