According to blogger @Feiwei, NIO has pushed the SkyUI 1.0.2 system update to the NIO Phone. The update package is 330MB in size and adds a new sky window function, which allows users to preview the mobile phone desktop directly through the car central control screen and use all applications on the mobile phone.
Other new features in the SkyUI 1.0.2 update include:
- Newly added NIO Link games, some games already installed on the mobile phone can be used directly on the car in full screen. Currently supported games include Asphalt 9 and Diablo Immortal. It is recommended to use a controller to experience these games. (The vehicle version needs to be upgraded to Banyan 2.1.0CN and above)
- Updated Android security patches to improve system security
- Fixed several issues and improved system stability
NIO Phone was launched in September 2023. It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 leading version processor, up to 16GB + 1TB storage, a 6.81-inch Samsung E6 material 2K screen with 120Hz LTPO high refresh rate and 1800nits maximum brightness, and a 5200mAh large battery that supports 66W wired charging + 50W wireless charging + 10W wireless reverse charging.
In terms of imaging, NIO Phone is equipped with three main cameras: a 50MP wide angle camera, a 50MP ultra wide angle camera, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. The lens module arrangement adopts a checkerboard-like design.
