China: Honor Magic 5 series mobile phones push MagicOS version update

Honor, the global technology brand, is today rolling out new software updates for its Magic 4 and Magic 5 series mobile phones. The updates bring a host of new features and improvements, including pure status bar mode, YOYO suggestion switch custom editing function, and more.

The MagicOS update for the Honor Magic 4 series is 803MB in size, while the MagicOS update for the Honor Magic 5 series is 579MB in size.

Here is a summary of the key changes included in the updates:
  • Status bar: Added pure status bar mode, which only displays time, WLAN, signal, and battery level. Users can also customize the display.
  • Control Center: Added YOYO suggestion switch custom editing function. Added a brightness automatic adjustment button in the brightness bar.
  • Flashlight: Added a new function to turn on/off the flashlight by double-clicking the volume down button in the lock screen state.
  • Window: Suspended window adaptation supports more applications.
  • Gallery: Added custom album cover and password lock functions for hidden albums.
  • Security: Incorporated into the Android November 2023 security patch to enhance system security.
In addition to these changes, the updates also include a number of bug fixes and performance improvements.
