China: Lynk & Co 1 Millionth Vehicle Rolls off the Assembly Line

Lynk & Co, a joint venture between Geely Holding Group, Geely Automobile Group and Volvo Cars, announced today that their 1 millionth vehicle has officially rolled off the assembly line. The new car is the Lynk & Co 08 EM-p, which was launched two months ago.

The Lynk & Co brand was launched in Berlin, Germany in October 2016. The company currently has seven car series: 01, 02, 03, 05, 06, 08, and 09. The Lynk & Co 01 was the first model launched by the company in November 2017.


The Lynk & Co 08 is a medium-sized plug-in hybrid SUV. It has a body length of 4820mm, width of 1915mm, height of 1685mm, and wheelbase of 2848mm. The car is available in four colors and has a guide price range of 208,800 to 288,000 yuan.

The Lynk & Co 08 is equipped with Meizu Flyme Auto in-car system for the first time. It also launches Ekatong Antola 1000 Pro computing platform, which integrates two 7nm car-grade SoC "Longying No. 1". This chip is also China's first car-grade 7nm mass-produced self-developed chip.

In terms of power, the Lynk & Co 08 is available in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. It is equipped with a newly developed four-cylinder electric hybrid engine based on the Lynk E-Motive intelligent electric hybrid system and an electric hybrid gearbox. The engine has a maximum power of 115kW and a drive motor with a maximum power of 160kW.

The three-motor four-wheel drive version of the Lynk & Co 08 uses a 1.5T electric hybrid engine and a three-motor (P1+P3+P4) layout, with a combined power of 436kW and a maximum torque of 905N·m. The official claim is that the acceleration time to 100 kilometers is 4.6 seconds.

The new car is equipped with three types of ternary lithium batteries with different capacities, with capacities of 21.2kWh, 39.6kWh, and 39.8kWh, respectively. The pure electric cruising range under CLTC working conditions corresponds to 120km, 220km, and 245km, respectively, and the comprehensive cruising range is 1,400km.
