Samsung Unveils Bespoke Jet Bot Combo: A Robot Vacuum with Steam Cleaning Capability

Samsung is set to showcase its latest innovation, the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo, at CES 2024, marking a significant advancement in the world of smart home cleaning devices. This new robot vacuum and mop combo boast cutting-edge features, including a unique steam cleaning function that sets it apart from its predecessors and competitors.

The Bespoke Jet Bot Combo builds on the success of the Jet Bot AI Plus, last updated in 2021, offering a combination of convenience and efficiency in one sleek round form factor. While Samsung is yet to announce the price and release date, the features teased in the press release suggest a game-changing device for homeowners.

One of the standout features is the self-emptying and self-cleaning charging base known as the Clean Station. This base not only empties the robot's bin but also refills its water tank while washing and drying its two spinning mop pads. The Clean Station introduces a 3-step Total Cleaning System for mop pads, incorporating auto wash, steam cleaning, and auto dry with hot air.

The steam cleaning function is a highlight, enabling the robot to apply steam to the mops when encountering dried stains on hard floors. This feature, according to Samsung, enhances the device's hygienic maintenance capabilities.

The robot's intelligence is powered by artificial intelligence, facilitating obstacle avoidance through object recognition. The upgraded object recognition of the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo allows it to identify more household objects and recognize different spaces within the home. A new 3D sensor enhances precision in navigation.

The device's AI Floor Detect feature distinguishes between hard floors and carpets, making informed decisions about whether to lift its mop pads on carpets or return to the base to remove them before vacuuming rugs. This innovative mop removal feature simplifies the cleaning process, ensuring effective cleaning without compromising the integrity of carpets or rugs.

While the press release provides insight into some features, Samsung has yet to release detailed specifications, including runtime, battery size, roller brush type, dust bin and water tank capacity, and the presence of a camera on board. As the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo is still in development, the final specifications may be subject to change.
