“Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs” Launches Mixed Reality Mode, Supports Quest and Pico Platforms

"Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs," the popular game from Resolution Games, has launched a mixed reality (MR) mode, available as a free update on the Quest and Pico platforms. This marks the seventh game from Resolution Games to support MR.

Compared to the previous mobile game version of "Angry Birds AR: Isle of Pigs," the VR version of MR mode leverages room tracking, hand tracking, and more powerful hardware performance to deliver a more immersive gaming experience. Players can use a controller or gesture tracking to control the slingshot, launch the bird by pulling the virtual slingshot, and complete level challenges in their real room space.

The hand tracking experience is reported to be excellent. Players can simulate operating a slingshot with both hands - holding it with one hand, pulling it with the other hand, and releasing it to launch the bird. The game's physical effects are satisfying, the level design remains engaging, and the addition of MR mode makes the gameplay more natural and realistic.

The MR mode of "Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs" is now available as a free update on the Quest and Pico platforms. The game itself also supports PC VR, PSVR, and PSVR 2 platforms, making it accessible to a wide range of gamers.
