Zhiyun has officially unveiled its WEEBILL 3E series of portable handheld gimbals designed for creative shooting. The lightweight version starts at an attractive price of 999 yuan (around $150 USD).
The WEEBILL 3E comes in two flavors to cater to different user requirements: a lightweight version and a standard version.
- Ergonomic Design and Compact Build: Both versions boast an ergonomic handle design for comfortable use. When folded, the entire gimbal is incredibly compact at 305×210×72.5mm, roughly the size of a sheet of A4 paper according to Zhiyun.
- Enhanced Compatibility: The WEEBILL 3E features a large frame axis arm to accommodate even bulky camera setups. The lightweight version can handle mainstream mirrorless cameras with a 24-70mm F4 lens attached, while the standard version extends compatibility to mirrorless cameras with a heavier 24-70mm F2.8 lens.
- Native Vertical Shooting: A welcome feature for content creators is the WEEBILL 3E's native vertical shooting support. You can seamlessly switch to portrait mode without needing additional accessories or disassembling the gimbal. It's important to note that this feature is currently not available on the light installation system.
Zhiyun has equipped the WEEBILL 3E with their upgraded "2.5 generation pot-lifting structure." This allows for the attachment of a labor-saving wrist rest and a telescopic pot-lifting handle. With this setup, you can comfortably tackle low-angle shots and maintain a steady third-person perspective. The gimbal can also be expanded to a dual-handheld mode for added stability and reduced strain during long shoots.
The WEEBILL 3E employs Zhiyun's tenth-generation Fengchao stabilization algorithm, ensuring smooth camera movements and a shake-free picture.
For added convenience, the gimbal supports Bluetooth shutter connection control. It also features a rear scroll wheel for adjusting camera parameters, controlling gimbal and lens movement, and a customizable trigger button for frequently used follow modes. A 0.96-inch function screen displays battery power, mode selection, calibration options, tracking photography status, automatic V mode settings, system information, and gimbal settings.
The WEEBILL 3E boasts two built-in 2600mAh 18650 batteries that support PD fast charging and even allow charging while the gimbal is in use. A full charge takes about 2 hours, and the battery life is rated for up to 16 hours.
For aspiring content creators, the WEEBILL 3E offers a range of creative shooting modes, including panoramic shooting, time-lapse shooting, trajectory timelapse, and Vlog photography settings. It's important to note that these creative features require the ZYPLAY software for operation.
