Samsung Galaxy A26 appears on Geekbench

The Samsung Galaxy A26 has just appeared on Geekbench, and it's looking impressive! With an overclocked Exynos 1280 processor and 6GB RAM, this phone is poised to deliver some serious performance. The Exynos 1280, released in March 2022, is a 5nm processor with two Cortex-A78 CPU cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at 2GHz. However, Samsung seems to have pushed the performance core frequency to 2.6GHz, giving it a nice boost.

Here's a rundown of what we can expect from the Galaxy A26:
  • Processor: Overclocked Exynos 1280
  • RAM: 6GB
  • Vulkan Running Score: 3061 points
  • Operating System: Android 15 (likely with One UI 7.1)
Comparing it to its predecessor, the Galaxy A25, which was released on January 4 this year, we can see some similarities:
  • Screen: 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED
  • Selfie Camera: 13MP
  • Rear Camera: 50MP main camera (with OIS), 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and 2MP macro lens
  • Battery: 5000mAh
  • Storage: 128GB
  • Android Version: Android 14 (with promises of four major version updates and five years of security updates)
While we haven't seen any leaked images of the Galaxy A26 yet, it's exciting to think about what other features Samsung might have in store for us.
